Description:

Five volumes from BCC ranging from (12mo) to (4to), mostly cloth or cloth-backed bindings. One volume from the Grabhorn Press printed for members of the Bohemian Club. 

Comprises:

  • Continent's End: An Anthology of Contemporary California Poets edited by George Sterling et al., 1925. Unnumbered copy to match the edition of 600 printed by John Henry Nash.
  • The Persistence of Poetry by Witter Bynner, 1929. Slipcase. One of 325 copies signed by the author. (Slipcase cracked).
  • Shakespeare in Bohemia: Three Plays by Loyall McLaren, David Dodge, & David Magee. Illustrated by Tony Sotomayor. 
  • Behind the Scenes: Glimpses of Fin de Siecle San Francisco by Gelett Burgess with commentaries by Joseph M. Backus, 1968. One of 400 copies printed by Robert Grabhorn and Andrew Hoyem with woodcut decorations by Shirley Barker.
  • Fond of Printing: Gordon Craig as Typographer & Illustrator by Colin Franklin, 1980. One of 450 made for the Book Club of California.
  • Isadora Duncan & Gordon Craig: The Prose & Poetry of Action by Cynthia Splatt, 1988.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
