Powerful lithographs by Hugo Gellert illustrating Karl Marx's "Das Kapital", considered as one of the best political works of the first half of the 20th century. Hugo Gellert (1892-1985) was a Hungarian-American printmaker and muralist, a radical socialist and member of the Communist Party of America.

Lot Amendments

Dust jacket missing 2/3 of spine panel, chipped in several places, some toning, soiling and burns, with 2" chip on back panel, age toning to cloth; one "extra-illustrated" page with pencil markings from previous owner; overall very good in good dust jacket.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
