Scarce poster for the Human Be-In held at the Polo Grounds, Golden Gate Park,  Saturday, January 14, 1967, from 1 to 5 pm and free to all. The first rock poster designed by Griffin, who later went on to design many of the most well known posters of the era. Berkeley Bonaparte was a Bay Area poster company founded in 1967 by illustrators Rick Griffin, Alton Kelley, Victor Moscoso, Stanley Mouse, and Wes Wilson. 

The gathering featured Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg, Richard Alpert, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Dick Gregory, Gary Snyder, Michael McClure and others, including "All San Francisco Rock Bands." One of the iconic event posters of the 1960's, spreading the word about what was probably the last authentic gathering before the innocence of the culture would be diluted and commercialized.
