Hand-colored lithograph. Image size 20.7x32 cm (8¼x12½') on a sheet 25x34.4 cm (9¾x13½"), professionally matted. First Edition, first issue.

A vigorous battle scene with Mexican troops on the right and U.S. troops on the left engaged in practically point-blank combat, with officers urging them on. The foreground is littered with broken bodies and broken equipment. Currier produced two slightly different versions of this scene.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
