Vol. 1, No. 13, Saturday, August 22, 1914. 8 pp. 27.8x19 cm (11x8½").
Scarce newspaper, or newsletter, edited by a man who is actually running for congress, and he uses the platform to rail against his opponents attempting to claim the Democratic nomination, whom he claims are not actual Democrats, but rather Progressives masquerading as Democrats. There are other articles, on such subjects as monetary policy, the war in Europe, the death of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, etc. Also, an advertisement for James D. Phelan for U.S. Senator, and a full page listing various democratic clubs in the Bay Area and their officers. Clarence Anthony Henning was President of San Francisco Democratic Club. OCLC lists only two institutions with runs of the periodical, the California State Library, and the California Newspaper Project.
