4 volumes. (8vo) various cloth backed boards, in original dust jackets. First Editions.

Four works by the author of In Cold Blood, variously mixing fiction and non-fiction, both in collected stories and novel form. All First Editions, one inscribed by a photographer mentioned in the text.


  • Local Color. First printing. 1950. (Jacket soiled and dampstained, some wear along edges; very good)
  • Other Rooms Other Voices. First printing. 1948. (Jacket has small tears and wear along edges, some loss near ends of spine, toning to edges of flaps; very good)
  • The Muses are Heard. First printing. 1956. Inscribed: "January '57 - To Miss Hedda Hoppen from the boy mentioned on page 57 and other ones too- Robin Jon Joachim."
  • Music for Chameleons. 1980.

Lot Amendments

Touches of rubbing to ends of spine; occasional foxing and toning; volumes range from near fine to fine in jackets that are very good to near fine.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
