Original color drawing of a geodesic polyhedron by architect and futurist Buckminster Fuller, the rigid geometric spheroid that formed the basis for the geodesic dome, perhaps not invented but certainly popularized by Fuller beginning in the 1940's. The inscription reads: "To: Ruth Skarius, A four-frequency geodesic grid. Vienna, Sept. 7, 1980. Buckminster Fuller."
