Description:

Four fine press limited editions cloth-bound in various formats. Juan Made a Wish: A Child's Picture Book for Certain Special Grown-ups; Mary's Tent: A Christmas Circus Book; Ramayana: A Monkey's Tale; Sri Krishna.

None of the present volumes are listed in OCLC/WorldCat.

Comprises:

  • Juan Made a Wish. 1983. Printed by Leigh McLellan and bound by Cardoza-James. No. 9 of an edition limited to 25 copies hand-lettered by the artist.
  • Mary's Tent. 1986. 22 leaves of heavy deckle-edged all rag paper (mostly white, though a few are yellow or pink). Many color linocut drawings including a frontispiece, illustrated title page, 10 full page plates, and 5 smaller textual illustrations. (4to) 29x19 cm. (11½x7½"), red cloth, lettered in white. One of only 12 copies, each hand-made, hand-written.
  • Ramayana. 1984. 22 leaves of heavy deckle-edged paper, including 1 page of letterpress by Peter Koch. Many color linocut drawings including a frontispiece, illustrated title page, terminal illustration of a peacock, monkey, and 16 color plates. With 3 letterpress leaves describing the plates, laid in loose into front cover pocket. 43.5x35.5 cm. (17x14"), blue cloth, lettered in silver. Bound by Cordoza-James Bindery. No. 6 of only 25 copies. 
  • 22 leaves of heavy deckle-edged all rag paper (mostly white, but with 2 yellow-orange), including 1 page of letterpress by Peter Koch. Many color linocut drawings including a frontispiece, illustrated title page, 16 plates, and 1 colophon illustration. The artist's hand-written captions to each plate on versos. 44.5x35.5 cm. (17½x14"), in yellow-orange cloth, lettered in navy blue. Bound by Cordoza James Bindery. No. 11 of only 25 copies.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
