402, (21) pp. a1-D4, lacking b8 [pp.31-32]. (8vo) 15.5x10 cm. (6x4"), full contemporary pictorial stamped and dated (1557) pigskin, one of two brass latches present.

One of many printings and editions of the celebrated historical chronicles compiled by Carion, first published in 1531, with the English edition appearing in 1550 (The Three Books of Chronicles).

Condition:

Binding rubbed and somewhat soiled, with remnant of paper label on spine, but overall very good, and a good example of the contemporary German binding.
