Although the photographs do not have the photographer's imprint, there is an advertisement at rear for G.W. Wilson & Co. with a "List of Views of the District," with include the views in this work. Among them are views of Peebles (a burgh in the committee area of Tweeddale, in the Scottish Borders, lying on the River Tweed), Neidpath Castle, the Hydropathic Establishment, Black Dwarf's Cottage, etc.
