WITHDRAWN[10], 303 pp. Map of Winesburg, Ohio printed on front pastedown, as issued. 7¼x5, original yellow cloth, paper spine label, top page edge in matching yellow. First Edition, First Printing, First State.

A highspot of 20th-Century American literature; signed by the author on the half-title. First state with the yellow stained top edge matching the yellow cloth, the front pastedown with a map of the town, the word "lay" on p.86 (line 5) and broken type on p. 251 in "the."

Condition:

Light wear to spine label, rubbed at spine ends and corners, very faint finger soiling; very good.
