A rare early telephone directory for Honolulu and the island of Oahu. Lists name, address and telephone number for each resident and business. The phone numbers are mostly four-digit, though some consist of five numbers. The final 31-page section is a separate business directory and interspersed throughout are ads for various businesses. Very early for a Hawaiian phone directory: not noted in OCLC, which fails to note any earlier than 1940. There are special instructions for telephone service in the Hawaiian countryside: "To get a Honolulu connection, take down the receiver and say to the responding operator, 'Honolulu, please."
